BICYCLE #12 - Bikes for Birthdays

Bikes For Birthdays is San Diego based volunteer organization with a mission to share our love of cycling and community, bring joy to children and to make the world a better place.

What does Bikes for Birthdays do?
We raise funds to purchase brand new bikes and give them to children-in-need on their birthdays as a wonderful surprise gift! Once the bike is funded, our team will deliver a brand new bike to on their birthday as a complete surprise gift!

Who are these children-in-need?
Children in hardship that want a bike, but may never be able to obtain one; such as children from impoverished families, orphans, neglected children, children who have suffered from domestic violence, cancer survivors, and more.

Can you imagine?!
A child who may never have a bike, WILL receive a new bike on their birthday as a huge surprise gift from their community! (This also includes a new helmet, accessories, and more.)

The impact we want to make:
We believe that such an unexpected showing of love, care and support from people within their community will not only brighten up the kid's special day, but also make a difference that lasts a lifetime. They will know that they are loved, cared about- even by people like you whom they have never met. We believe this will help the child know that despite their hardships they are NOT alone in the world.

And bikes are awesome. Period. :-)

What can you do?
Your donation is a huge part of starting this transformation and can help us achieve this mission. And during your check-out process, you can submit a photo and message to the child that we will compile and put into a special Bikes for Birthdays Love Card!

OUR GOAL IS TO FUND THIS BIKE BY 10am on May 1st!

HOW TO DONATE:

2. Please leave a personal message or wish to the kid whose bike you're sponsoring. We will collect all the messages and compile them to create a beautiful hand-made Bikes for Birthdays "Love Card" that comes with every bike!

3. Please enter your payment information on the next page. If you are a current WePay user, please log in

4. If necessary, edit your payment information and enter your email address to receive a payment receipt. Otherwise, confirm your payment.

5. PLEASE use any and all of the SHARE buttons to spread this message to your social networks! We would absolutely love your support.

6. Note: 100% of the money received goes towards the child's bike, accessories, service, and birthday card. Bikes for Birthdays does NOT make any monetary gains from this fundraising. We are doing this as a contribution to our community and the children in it.
