Bialystok Restoration Project

Hello everyone!! For those of you that don’t know, my name is Vivianne Schill. One of my many goals throughout my life has been to go on a service trip. Recently, my mother shared a Facebook post with me about the Bialystok Cemetery Restoration Project and I immediately knew that I wanted to be involved. Amy and Josh Degen, who started this nonprofit, round up a small group of 15 individuals who are willing to travel to Bialystok, Poland, to work on restoring the Jewish Bagnowka Cemetery that was destroyed by Nazis in WWII. The cost of the trip is about $3,000 and I am reaching out to find sponsors to make this trip happen. In return, I will be recording my experiences and sharing them by writing articles and speaking to organizations in my community, such as The Jewish Federation, various synagogues, churches, and at SNHU, where I am majoring in communications and minoring in sociology.


Should you choose to donate, you have the option of giving directly to the nonprofit. Adding my name where it says “add special instructions to the seller” when you donate will guarantee that my trip will be credited.


Community service and fundraising has always been a big part of my life. While a full time college student I have continued with community service by completing 15-30 hours of volunteer work per semester. I work two jobs and I am a member of the Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority.
