Service Trip to Guatemala!

Family and friends!
As many of you may know, I will be embarking on a humanitarian trip in January.  I will be heading to Guatemala for two weeks, sponsored by the Albert Schweitzer Institute at Quinnipiac University.
I will be traveling with several other students from Quinnipiac, as well trip leaders and advisers. While in Guatemala, we will be working on various volunteer and service projects. These projects include educating the locals on proper hygiene and nutrition, planting trees to help with reforestation, providing aid to the victims of Guatemala's most recent earthquake, as well as providing youth and educational programs to the local communities, among other projects.
My experiences traveling the world through Semester at Sea last spring have helped me become aware of what is important in life.  I have found my passion in life through traveling and helping others, and hope to continue to incorporate these values in my life.  (Only problem is it's not cheap!)
