Bearded Spider Photography Startup

Greetings!  My name is Tim Burns.  I run Bearded Spider Photography.  (Sole proprietor)  A brand new photography business.  

I started BSP to showcase my love of the little things in life.  I love to do macro photography and my subject areas usually include arachnids, with a few other interesting insects and bugs thrown in.   I feel like people go about their lives without ever taking in the small things, and that this is what drives most to eradicate our buggy friends without a care.  I took to social media a few years back showing off my own Tarantula pets and other things I've found along the way and the response from people has gradually changed from one of disgust and shock to an acknowledgment of beauty and amazement.

However, that's not to say I don't do more with my photography, as I do take photos of people, places and things.  I have gotten into more portraiture as of late and would like to do more involving people and full landscapes.

This love however, does not provide the equipment needed to actually produce top quality images of either my macro work or non-macro work.  This is where it gets tricky, as photography is an expensive profession to build from the ground up and I've been lucky to get a good camera and a few other (albeit cheap) items that help.  But to really progress forward, I'll need things like decent speedlights, a decent macro lens, sturdy and strong equipment and funds for other fees, like website fees and licenses.

A link to my Amazon Wishlist  will show you the kind of costs I'm looking at. From 60 dollars for a cheap backdrop hanging kit, to $1000 for a 100mm macro lens.  A website to run my business, and printing items for people or for my own physical copy to show others is even more funds I don't have.
