Need Help With Home Repairs

My name is Barbara, and I am a 70 year old stroke survivor. On December 27, 2013 I suffered what the doctor called a devastating stroke and lost use of my entire right side and also my speech. After 6 long months in a nursing home, I was able to go home. My husband of 51 years and our daughter care for me on a daily basis now that I am home.

The roof to our house started leaking and we have some floor damage also. With our Social Security income we do not receive enough money to make the necessary repairs. The amoney raised through this campaign will be used to make the repairs to the house and get it livable before cold weather.

My dream is that we can get our home repaired so we can both remain at home together for the rest of our natural lives.

To make the necessary repairs it will take about $15,000. This will cover all the repairs. The roof repairs will cost approximately $5,000. We would, if at all possible, like to complete the roof repairs before winter snows arrive. The rest of the repairs can be completed in the Spring. To this end we need to complete this campaign by the end of November.

The family and I will be so thankful to get our house repaired, and not have to worry about the roof leaking every time it rains.  I would be overjoyed to be able to move freely through the house and once again have access to the kitchen.
