Bag's of JOY

The other day I saw a post on Facebook about a woman who took old purses and filled them with goodies that homeless women could really use.

This was absolutely inspiring and I have decided we should follow in her foot steps and do it in the greater Hartford area.

What I will be doing first off is collecting bags to put everything in. Anything that has a decent amount of room in it purses, backpacks, duffle bags, and other types of luggage. I will also be collecting supplies to put in the bags like hats, gloves, scarves, etc. I will also be raising money so we can buy supplies that we are not able to obtain through donations.

To all my friends that are far away and want to mail things please feel free to contact me for the address.

Also to those who dont feel comfortable donating online all cash and check donations can be sent to me, just contact me and I will give you the  address.

FROYO WORLD FUNDRAISER
On Tuesday December 1st we will be having a fundraiser at Froyo World in New Britain! A portion of the proceeds will be going towards Bags of JOY. There will also be a raffle! This event will be all day long from 11am to 11pm! Please feel free to bring your donations and get some yummy Froyo!

I am hoping to have all the items together and bags put together by December 20th at my apartment in New Britain, CT. Then during the holiday shopping season we will be handing out the bags around the Hartford and New Britain areas. Through this project we are showing that we stand for love, family, community, and peace .
