BAD COFFEE: Mental health drama

Bad Coffee is a story about two very different and damaged women, Violet “Tuck” Tucker and Ashley Conway, falling in love with each other and having to learn that sometimes love is not enough if it means losing yourself. It is a love story even in its most tragic and heartbreaking moments, but at its core, it is also an uplifting journey of self-discovery told through the lens of recognizing and owning your weaknesses, allowing recovery and making yourself healthy. And while not every tale ends happily, the lesson learned is that the need to forgive yourself and allow yourself to live and begin again can heal you if you let it.
The film is directed by Andrija Petkeviciute and produced by Rita Santos, who are both 3rd year students in a BA Film degree at Middlesex University in London.
This film consists in a dissertation project that is aimed at individuals who have and still suffer from a specific type of mental illness and who find it hard to find people to relate to, either in friendship or in a relationship. The project is specifically special to its' creators because they both have gone through, in one way or the other, through mental health struggles and both want to shed light on it as much as possible!
The money raised will be used in various ways, from paying the cast and extras for transportation fees to the set, food for cast and crew, potential location costs, hiring a semi-professional DoP (cinematographer) and to help pay for the entrance fees for film festivals, in the upcoming future.
Once again, this project means the world to us and it will hopefully reach a larger audience when we do send it to film festivals, specifically in the UK, Portugal and Lithuania.
So any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference!
