Our family is able to sigh...
Our family is able to sigh a breath of relief now that baby Eli Mae is home in Mexico. With the support of all the people that loved and miss her mommy... she will grow up in a happy place. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who helped by donation, support and comfort. It has, and will continue to be a difficult journey. Seeing baby Mae's face light up with every smile will make it a little easier. We love you Gaby! Your daughter will grow up with the love of a family who will keep your memory alive forever.

It's been one month since Gaby...
Created by Carla Alcibar on July 5, 2012
Gaby was in her 5th year at the University of Bath, England earning a PhD in Postgenomic Biosciences. She had just become a mother and was set to be married in 2 months. Two weeks ago, Gaby tragically lost her life as a result of domestic violence. Now her daughter Mae is jumping from social services to foster care, without a mother or father.
Gaby and I were two months apart, and led different kinds of lives in different countries, but when we were together... it was all laughs. My heart hurts not only because she is gone, but because of the pain she had to endure in the last moments of her life.
Please help my family get my little niece home to her aunt and maternal grandmother. Your help is deeply appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello, I also was a victim of domestic violence. However, I was lucky enough to escape with my life. I have a page on here too and stumbled across yours while browsing. I do not have money to give, but I want to tell you how wonderful you are for advocating on this childs behalf. I will share your link to help out. Good luck and god bless

I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but it looks like my family will be coming home with my little niece much sooner than expected. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF YOU THAT GAVE MONEY AFTER MY COUSING WAS KILLED! Especially, a really big thanks to Jessica Burgess for going the extra mile and helping us raise money to get my family over to england and for a lawyer. thank you so much!!!!!!!
