Seattle U16 Girls Go To Nationals!

Donation protected
Every August youth ultimate frisbee teams descend upon Blaine, Minnesota to compete for a national championship!  But this year is special, for the first time in the history of the sport there is a U16 Girls' Division!  Of the 13,000 players at the youth level, only 3,000 are girls.  Advocates around the country are working to grow and develop the sport for girls and women - but it all starts with opportunities like these.

The U16 girls' team form Seattle has been working hard to prepare for the trip to the Youth Club Championships.  These 20 girls have dedicated to bi-weekly practices and track workouts - they have also been giving back to the community - they led a youth clinic today!

DiscNW, our local organization, had much greater requests for need this year than expected.  Despite giving out more aid than ever before, we still need more support to get our team to nationals.  So we are doing extra work to fundraise together to guarantee that each player who has been dedicating their time and love of the game can be a part of this trip.

In addition to this site, we'll be doing fundraising on the ground (and more clinics!).  We have one month from today before we hop on a plane to MN.  PLEASE, PLEASE donate!

No amount is too small!  Everyone who donates will get a customized thank you postcard.

Help Uprising rise to the top of the first ever U16 Girls' National Championship!
