Help support Scarlett fight cancer

Donation protected
Scarlett Telford is a 3 year old girl. Last year she was diagnosed with b-cell ALL. (Acute lymphoblastic leukemia). Her mother owns a business in Fallon, NV and is having a difficult time. She has to drive Scarlett to California almost every week, and has to stay for sometimes 2 weeks at a time for her treatments. Starting next month, they will have to be in San Francisco three times a week…and during this time her mother isn’t able to work or run the business.  After Scarlett spends the time in California, she is very sick and can barely move: she won’t get out of bed, she won’t feed herself and is unable to walk a lot of times.  Her mom has to stay home to care for her and when she does, her business sometimes has to be closed, and even when it’s open, the business bills get paid and her mother does not. While her treatments are mostly covered by their insurance, travel costs, food for her mother while Scarlett is in the hospital, and their personal bills are not…and with no income coming in, her mother worries everyday about how to pay their rent to keep Scarlett in the house and neighborhood she loves, and in a stable environment, which, with so much else unstable in Scarlett’s life and so much out of her control, is very important.  Scarlett has had to spend all holidays in the hospital since her diagnosis in early October except Halloween however, she was too sick to be allowed to go out trick or treating.  She was in the hospital through the entire week of Thanksgiving, and again on Christmas Eve, and then got checked into the hospital the day after Christmas for another full week.  She was in the hospital the entire week of Valentine’s Day…but she made cards for her family and nurses to keep her spirits up.  She has had multiple transfusions and multiple week long hospitalizations.  It has been a very scary process for her mother and her.  Scarlett loves Frozen and Minions. She is a very smart and talented girl, and everyone around her is doing everything they can to help keep her in good spirits even on days when she’s not allowed to leave the house (which is often).  Hope is not a commodity that doctors provide, especially with life threatening cancer, but perhaps it’s something that the community can provide.  Let's all pull together and help this little girl get to and from her treatments so she can get better!!!
