In the midst of job hunting with a 20-year navy service and disabled father and a mother that is going through another round of chemotherapy, my father stumbled upon a job opportunity on an actual public job site. A "mystery shopper" job was available and he took the offer. Finally an escape from financial troubles! The job consisted of him receiving a check in the mail, cashing it in to the bank, using the money to buy online gift cards at a certain store while evaluating the store's performance and service, and then keeping a share of it and submitting the gift cards to the employer. Sounds to good to be true right? That's because it was. After a few purchases, the bank alerted my dad that the checks he received in the mail were counterfeit. Doing this action twice resulted in about $5,000 owed to the bank. He was forced to pay the money immediately, and now he is forced to pull out a loan and eventually gradually pay it over time. What a horrible series of events, and now we are in a much worse situation than we were in before. Any amount will greatly help us and your donation is greatly appreciated.
