HELP US get to Jamaica for a Cultural Exchange trip!
We have been invited to participate in a unique cultural exchange trip to Jamaica by the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (EMC). The College is Jamaica's first and only dedicated college of visual and performing arts. The opportunity will allow the dancers to participate in a series of dance workshops and activities, learning about the rich dance and Arts history of Jamaica. The dancers will have the opportunity to share their learning upon returning to the UK. After postponing our 2016 trip due to not reaching our fundraising target, the exchange is now scheduled for July, 2017.
Artistry Youth Dance is a vibrant youth dance company that showcases aspiring performers of African and Caribbean descent, aged 14-19 years. We promote diversity in dance and encourage our dancers to achieve success through dance. With a focus on Jazz and Contemporary dance, we aim to provide training and performance opportunities for our Company members, showcasing their talents and celebrating their artistry.
We do not currently receive any regular public funding and rely on your support and generosity to help pay for necessary activities for the youth dance company. We need to raise vital funds to help pay for airfare, accommodation and dance activities for the dancers and teachers. We need your support!
