Philabuster is a special kitten, he was found in the alley behind the music shop on 40th and Hamilton in Omaha Nebraska. His Mother abandon him, Phil was not happy with this arrangement and voiced his displeasure for 6 hrs. At the 6 hr. mark Chris couldn't take it, his heart was breaking and he took in the 3 week old ball of fluff.
I was called because I have been known in my neighborhood to take in stray kittens too young to find a home and get them to the point of feeding them self and using the litter box. Then they are home ready. But Phil was different. 3 weeks old was too young.
We decided to keep Phil. He has his quarks and one heck of a personality.

June has been a bit of a hard month for me. End of May I had surgery in the girlybit department, and would be out of work until June 23rd. During that time the Insurance company kept "not receiving" my Short Term Disability paperwork. This ended in me having to request a Manager to get the paperwork accepted. And as of today I have still not received the funds. So all the bills are past due. But I am not here for those, I will figure that out.

Friday the 13th. I went on a weekend trip with family. On Sunday while I was coming back I got a text message about a puddle of pee with blood in it and that Phil was acting funny. I told them to keep an eye on him and since it was Monday night I would take him to the vet in the morning. After a 4 hour drive home I got back to the house and found Phil under my bed. I pulled him out and cuddled him for a few minutes. When he got up and walked away there was a puddle on my dress. Though in the dim room I didn't notice that had blood in it. On June 15th I took him to Mockingbird Animal Emergency Clinic. It was $1100 that had to be paid then and there for them to work on Phil after they told me he was full and couldn't pee and that if he didn't pee it could shut down his kidneys and he could die. I pulled out my Emergency Credit card and swiped.

He was moved from Mockingbird to Heartland Animal Hospital the next morning. They called me to tell me that they had Phil. He was doing better and I could visit him. Off I went I took the picture above of Phil that day. He was so quiet, he didn't like what was happening to him and he wasn't complaining. I cried, to be clear I know it was sappy and all but after the surgery it is the little things. I had brought him his box which helped. Before this picture he was just laid out on a pad, with his catheter in looking like life had left him. So the box helped. I stayed with him for a long time. Until I was worried he was going to pull something out with his new found energy. Dr. Andrew told me what had happened is that there is a sphincter muscle between his bladder and urethra that restricted and didn't let him go potty. They think it was caused by stress. Noting his addiction to boxes for comfort and that he waits at the door for people when they are not home/guards the door when we are home so we don't leave. He may have an issue.

The next day I took him home. There was of course another bill but I was told that last night when getting his IV changed that he took a nip at the nurse and let his pleasure be known. This makes me happy he is acting more normal.

Yesterday I took him in for a follow up, which involved checking his kidneys and bladder again, with another follow up in 3 months and more bills. For a while going forward poor Phil is going to be checked every few months at around $200 a visit to make sure his kidneys and bladder are working correctly.

With being out of work a month, and this being something I never expected I am asking for help, I am really not good at it. So here I go. I am really worried that I am not going to be able to pay off the large amount of debt I put on my credit card to keep Phil alive. You oh mighty wonderful people of the internet can you help me pay off Phil's Bills.
