Moving On Out... of the "basement"

Fall 2014 Update: Thank you to everyone who helped me this spring. I was unable to fund my summer classes without hefty loans, but your generosity did pay for my books!!!!!!!!!! I also got lucky with Obamacare and was able to get all the medical tests and work I needed free of charge so I am still fortunate!

Sadly, I'm doing much worse financially this fall as I am now long-term unemployed and had to take another huge loan taking me well over the 100,000 student loan debt mark to finish my degree. I'm counting the days till it's in my hands this December once I finish my independent research and exam this fall.

More Pity Party:
As you all know, I lost my job last summer and have been unable to secure another, putting me on the list of "long-term unemployed."  I want to move out in hopes of leaving this small, dead-end town and getting somewhere where I have a better chance in my job search. And it's not for lack of trying, the sheer amount of job applications I've filed in the region and belongings I've sold on ebay, to friends, via amazon, and in the local town has been staggering. I've halved my belongings I moved home with. And anybody who is unforunate enough to be my Facebook friend can attest to the postings I've made since last spring 2013 selling my things.

Furthermore, I am 28 and have never owned a car. This upsets me because I know it has kept me from accomplishing many things. I am not asking for help with this, I think saving up for a car will be a good thing for me when I get a job again. I really want to see London, New York City, Toronto, and other places like that, but I can't even dream of vacations until I get a job and a car. I just want to show that I still have aspirations. ;)

Please help me obtain my goal of moving out (moving truck, gas, deposits, first couple month's rent, etc) so I can find a job and save for a car!

Please help me get my life started. I can't wait to give my money back to people in need.
