I am Darren, i founded Avon Owls in 2009, i started off with 2 birds in my back garden, when my son asked if i could bring them into school for a show and tell.
i bought some insurance, and other schools in the area got wind of me, and my birds.
that was 6 years ago, and a lot has changed since then, except my passion for these beautiful birds.
Avon Owls started in my garden like i said, but my neighbours complained that the birds where keeping them awake, yet we live in the country on the edge of a small village, so following a threat of eviction from my landlord, we found a piece of land on a farm.
2 years on, ive built an entire bird of prey centre on the edge of Banwell, we are holding open days, and school work is coming in.
We need to raise £15,000 in order to purchase a piece of land in the area, that we can move to,
This figure will only pay for the land, we still need to relocate and build new aviaires, move the office and all the facilities that we need.
The present land lord will not sell the land we are on,, this is fine, after all it is his land.
so we are carring on, with our open days and owl expierences in order to raise funds.
please help us.

We have rescued birds from all over the country, and birds are brought to us by lot of people and organisations for lots of different reasons.
im in this for a passion, im not in it for a wage, if i was, then id have given up a long time ago.
Please show your support, once we reach our target we can find a piece of land that we can own, this will secure our future, and we will be able to carry on our work
