I have been given a wonderful chance that will massively improve my skills and future career opportunities...
A couple of weeks ago I went to visit the Wales International Academy of Voice to sing to its Director, world famous Tenor Dennis O'Neill. I was astounded when he offered me a place on the spot!
In September this year I would be joining a tiny selection of handpicked singers from around the world on a one year course designed to hone our skills to the highest possible level in preparation for the competitive world of opera.
The course includes vital lessons in technique and style, language coaching, gala showcases, professional placements and career advice as well as resulting in an MA being awarded at its conclusion.
Masterclasses are held with some of the great singers and musicians of our time including its honorary president Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Ryland Davies, Ann Murray, Richard Bonynge, Joseph Rouleau and Dennis O'Neill.

As you can imagine, this is an incredible opportunity and one I want to make the most of if I can raise the funds to get there. I am looking for financial support to cover the costs of the course, which at present are beyond my reach at £9750 for tuition fees plus living expenses of just over £6000.

About me....
After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama I completed my formal studies with a post graduate year at The Royal College of Music and since then have continued to work with private tutors and coaches of great renown.
I began performing with small opera companies and have been gaining wonderful experience singing roles such as Violetta, La Traviata, Lady Macbeth in Verdi's Macbeth, Minnie, Fanciulla del West and the title roles of Madama Butterfly, Dido and Aeneas and Tosca, performing the latter for five weeks in London's West End.
My most recent operatic appearance was a concert performance of Madama Butterfly last month with the glorious 87 players of Lambeth Orchestra and I am honoured to have been asked back to sing the role of Marschallin in excerpts of Der Rosenkavalier with them in October. Shortly after that I will make my first appearance as Abigaille in Verdi's Nabucco with Kennet Opera!
