Hello everyone, my name is Logan Kurtz, I'm 18 year old, and I was bullied because I have Tourette Syndrome (TS).

Short Bio:
Through out my life I was always being teased, harassed, and abused by other kids and adults. Earlier I recanted how the preschool teachers treated me Even in Elementary School, parents and teachers would come up to me and tell me to stop. "Just stop!" "Cut it out?" "Can't you stop it?" "What's wrong with you?" Some wouldn't even allow their kids to play with me just because I was different. Then there was middle school. I was always being bullied. Kids would trip me as I was running or going up steps, they would close a door in my face, kick me, spit on me, call me names like "ticker" or "ticboy". They were always mimicking what I did making me feel worthless.

I began to isolate myself from the world, always hiding in my room, behind trees and getting as far away from people as possible because I was afraid what they would do to me if I went anywhere near them. I have faced the all the obstacles to end up finding the solutions trapping so many others.

Goal:
My goal is to give the caged innocent a way out though inspirational words and step-by-step instructions when facing a bully. Please help by donating a few dollars to help fund this project!

My background, Why I want to do this, The obstacles I faced:
I was considered a disruption because the teachers thought I was moving my body and making noises on purpose and for attention. Believe me when I say I wanted NO attention. I wanted to be a fly on the wall. I would have given anything if I could have stopped. I already was beginning to feel "different" than the others. Can you imagine how I felt? I was a little child with a developing brain that was being played with by the Tourettes and the doctors. I did not understand what was happening to me and why I was so different. Then there were the times I was a social outcast.

One day my sister was reciting a bunch of sayings. I heard her say "Forget the past, ignore the future, focus on the present". Something in my brain snapped. All of a sudden I didn't care what people thought of me. This phrase became my motto. This is what I live by and this is who I am.

I was enrolled at my current high school in 10th grade not knowing anyone and it wasn't easy finding my cliques, so I got the idea to run for Vice President of my class. The purpose of running was to not win, but only to get my name out there so people would know who I am. I had one of the best speeches; everyone clapped for me more than they did for any other candidate. I lost the elections, but I found my clique a few days later.

Once elections were over, people were always asking me what I was doing with my neck, my nose, and my mouth. After explaining what TS was over and over and over again, in mid September, I created a page on Facebook called "Help Spread the word about Tourette's Syndrome". It was meant to be a place to get information about TS instead of always asking me but it turned into a place where people from all over the world could come together and share experiences and advice on TS. After a few months went by I thought to myself "why should people just with TS be given the opportunity to have a place to be themselves?" From this thought I created Definite Possibilities (www.DefinitePossibilities.com), a website for people with disabilities and disorders to go to and express themselves freely. Along with this I designed, manufactured, and have shipped over a thousand Tourette Syndrome and Autism pins all over the world to raise money and awareness for Tourette Syndrome and Autism. I have sold pins to people in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico and 24 states in the United States.

In conclusion, I want to make a profound difference in people's lives.
