Angel's Independence

Donation protected
Hello! My name is Brandi and I am Angel's mom and care giver.
For those of you that may not know; Angel was born very prematurely, she weighed only 1lb 12oz.
Every Doctor told us to expect the worse. They said Angel would never walk, talk, eat on her own, never be able to use the bathroom independently.
They even asked if I wanted to just take her off the life support, let her go.
But I saw so much life in her tiny eyes. I wouldn't give up on her. After giving birth in a hospital bathroom (the doctors refused to believe I was in labor at only 28 weeks) then spending 3 months in the NICU, during which Angel received 2 brain surgeries, she was discharged and her journey continued.

From 2002 to 2015 Angel had 21 surgeries; 18 of them Neurosurgery, 2 eye surgeries and 1 oral surgery.
She stayed strong through all of this. Stronger than me. Stronger than any person I've ever known. She never stopped smiling, she always told jokes and was determined to be independent.

Angel is a very independent young lady. There isn't much she won't try to do on her own. We try to involve her in everything we possibly can. There are some things she can't do safely and there are some things she just can't do because of her physical limitations.
She loves to be with her family and friends outdoors and has always wanted to go on hikes like mom and her brothers do. She wants to hunt with dad but her 300 lb power wheelchair just isn't made to go off road. It does great on the sidewalk and gets her around at school, that is all it's made for. Angel also requires physical therapy and uses a standing device to help her stand.

We are asking for your donations to provide Angel with a Standing Track Chair. This chair allows Angel to combine the standing equipment and wheelchair in one. This Chair can climb mountains, it can go through snow, mud, and sand, hiking, fishing, and hunting will be within her reach. She can go almost anywhere on her own, giving her the independence she so desperately wants and needs. She will be able to stand and be at eye level with her peers. This chair will be life changing.

Angel will be forever grateful for your help.
Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated!

Getting this Chair for Angel would mean so much not just to her but to her family. There is nothing harder than having to watch your child struggle and be uninvolved in everyday life. We are an active and outdoor loving family, we have carried Angel to many places her chair couldn't go but she is getting so big carrying her long distances is no longer a safe option.

Angel was unable to go on her freshman trip, a hike to paint a "G" on the hill because this hike is difficult for someone to walk let alone take a manual wheelchair, there was  just no safe option.  The school has agreed to let her take this trip once she has the track chair.
