RIP Jaeda - Alyssa's Angel

This past Thanksgiving weekend, Jaeda was taken to get spayed. She entered the clinic as a very healthy, happy 3 year old Pit Bull full of life and love and sadly, passed away 36 hours later.
Her companion Alyssa knew that something was not right when she picked Jaeda up from the clinic as she was unable to walk and in a lot of pain. She was told that this was "normal" and she would liven up at home.
Jaeda did not liven up. She became worse. Yelping in pain, not moving from her bed, unable to get up and eat and soiled her bed.
Alyssa contacted the veterinary clinic many times and was told "this is normal, it will pass". They finally agreed to prescribe her pain medication although Alyssa had insisted that her dog was not behaving normally. She knows her dog better than anyone else. Again, she was told it was "normal". They asked her to check Jaeda's incision to see if it was ok. The incision itself was ok. Still Alyssa knew that something was happening inside, something was not right.
A mere 36 hours after her operation, Jaeda passed away in Alyssa's arms at home in her living room.
The clinic has insisted that everything was ok. The veterinarian said that the assistant had told him that she asked Alyssa if her gums were a normal colour and she said yes. This ... is a lie. Not once was this asked of her.
Jaeda's gums were white ... a sign of internal bleeding.
The clinic has refused to take responsibility. In fact, the staff has since laughed at her in the clinic stating that they "did her a service" and she will not be refunded nor will they cover any costs incurred for cremation.
An autopsy will be performed and then Jaeda will be cremated for Alyssa to have her always.
Alyssa is now left with her growing vet bills and the loss of her beloved Jaeda.
