Andrew Phelps

Andrew Phelps is a senior at North East High School. He is a Wrestling State Medalist and all around great kid. He just recently has been having episodes of a racing heart beat. His mom took him to the doctor. They wanted him to wear a heart monitor at home. Just yesterday the monitor went off. The doctor called and said to take him to the ER ASAP. Andrew and his Mom April did as the doctor asked. At the Hospital they did some tests and were told that Andrew has a heart condition called Ventricular Tachycardia. This condition is a potentially life threatening arrhythmia because it may lead to ventricular fibrillation, asystole and sudden death.  They put him on Medication and he will have to wear a defibrillator vest in case his heart stops. They will be traveling back and forth to Pittsburgh Childrens Hospital for more testing. He can no longer wrestle or play football. We don't know what the future holds. All donations will go towards Travel Expenses, Food, Housing Expenses and any other expenses incurred during this difficult time.
