Amy and Jason Nino were 25 weeks pregnant with identical twin baby girls when they traveled to Portland (from Boise) to celebrate the marriage of their great friends.

While in Portland, Amy went into preterm labor at 25 weeks and 4 days. Amy was admitted and unable to return to Boise, Amy gave birth at 26 weeks to two beautiful baby girls. The girls were anxious to arrive early, very early! Cecilia and Harlow were born 13 weeks early in Portland, away from their home, family, and their support systems.

Cecilia came into the world 8/13/15 at 26 weeks at 2.6 pounds. Harlow was born second at 1.8 pounds! All three little ladies including momma are fighters and have been incredibly strong the past week. Amy and Jason were truly blessed with two miracles, just a bit too early.

Most parents’ dream of the moment their child is born and holding them only seconds after. But for Amy and Jason, this was not the case. They were unable to hold their precious little girls. It is predicted Cecilia and Harlow will be in NICU for approximately 3 months until they will be strong enough to travel home to Boise. Jason and Amy are eagerly anticipating the day they can take two happy healthy girls back to their home in Boise.

Mom and Dad have been faced with overwhelming medical procedures with more to come. Jason and Amy are on a roller-coaster ride that they never anticipated and could never be prepared for. Cecilia and Harlow will have to fight everyday to get stronger.

Their mom and dad are up against many challenges. They are going to have extensive expenses. Medical bills, travel expenses (for Jason) back and forth from Portland to Boise (so he is able to work), housing in Portland so Amy is able to stay with their babies.
We were never able to have a baby shower for Amy and Jason so they are also in need of the many things the twins will require. Mom had to leave work early (unpaid) so as expected money is tight! It breaks my heart that money has to be a concern, when they have so many other more important concerns right now.

I'm starting this Gofundme to help Amy and Jason with their unexpected expenses. My hope is that this fund will provide Jason and Amy the ability to focus on Cecilia and Harlow with a few less worries in their hearts.
