Alex's Medical Recovery Fund

Early in Alex's career in the United States Marine Corps, Alex suffered heat strokes that caused him to struggle with verbal skills and some motor skills in his right side. He was discharged from service for this reason. Yes he did not serve a full 24 months of service, but however he was injured in attepmt to serve his country to no fault of his own from unique circumstances. From 2005-2011 he worked hard to regain to the best of his abilities getting his struggles back to as normal as possible. Doing the things he loved like play guitar, sing, and long distance running were things that helped him to learn over how to deal with certain things better.  

On September 9, 2014 Alex was going to work like any other day to work his day 8 route system in Madera, PA. Around 7:30-8:00pm (A Newer Schwann employee would usually work a 13.5 hour day) he was struck by a moving vehicle as a pedestrian. The vehicle never stopped, and fled the scene. This left Alex with a concussion, and a severe headache that has been ongoing since. This headache is so disruptive to Alex's everyday routine that it has set back his health and makes it now hard for him to DO HIS day to day responsibilities. At this moment he cannot run nor do anything that helped him get over his hurdles that pertains to physical exercise. Nor can he enjoy the love of making music as his injury has made it hard for him to enjoy the simple loves he enjoys, if not impossible for running and long walks. 

As you can imagine, not being able to work on medical no duty status Alex needs help raising money to help for things that are beyond work mans comp. Social Security has been considered; a meeting will be taking place with the social security administraiton , but at 28 years old, Alex really doesn't want to have to take this route if he doesn't need to.
