SPORTS WHEELCHAIR FUND

Donation protected
9 years ago i fell off of a roof and injured my back over the next 6 years it got progressively worse, the spinal disc disease along with the impact from the fall led to corrective surgery but unfortunately it wasn't successful. since the beginning of 2011 i have been in a wheelchair permanently but after some great counselling i have learnt to embrace life.

After attending a swindon borough council disability sports event, alongside a friend called Tony Ellis i helped form the first rugby league wheelchair tag rugby side in the south west, i went on a course and was talent spotted whilst there and taught to play the game at a high level, and have this season joined the England international team to play rugby league for my country.
Also i am now part of the England rugby 7s team which I captained this month at the four nations where the team were successful and won all three games to win the competition, later this year we will hope to achieve the same at the six nations in September in France.

This all sounds great but the equipment used at these games is expensive and due to the nature of the high velocity impacts of the sport the chairs and tyres etc need to be maintained and replaced.

The funding is towards, or completely for a sports wheelchair and replacement wheels, tyres, push rims. The equipment costs which run into the thousands when replacements are needed £2500 is my target for this 2014 local and international seasons. Any contribution to this amount would be greatly appreciated.
