The Best Dad

Hi everyone, just over a month ago my dad was complaining of a bad back. He was a builder so we all didn't really think much of it! It was getting worse to the point that he could barely get in and out of the car. He went to the doctors who revered him for a scan and the hospital. He then had to go back and have a further scan where dye is injected to be able to see better. He got the results which said he had leisons on he's bones in the back. After a few days he's doctor called and asked him to go in for another blood test. I think he knew it wasn't great then. He was then called in for the results. He was told he has cancer. We all went straight to hospital where he stayed for a week. After lots of tests, scans and a bone marrow biopsy he was told he has Multiple Myeloma. It is a type of bone marrow cancer which affects the plasma cells inside the bone marrow. These cells are a vital part of our immune system. He is now in extreme pain where the cancer cells have destroyed the bones in he's back, they are also in over parts of he's body and he has cysts in he's pelvis. He's kidneys were also in a bad way when he got to hospital as this cancer builds up protein damaging them. This cancer is incurable. They can manage it with lots and lots of different tablets. He has also started chemotherapy and steroids. Infection is so dangerous to him as he has no immune system now and chemo makes this worse. He caught an infection last week. So was back in hospital. I want to do something for my dad and my mum, my dad has obviously had to quit work and my mum now has to look after my dad as he can barely get up. I don't know what the future holds but all I know is my mum and dad shouldn't have to have the worry and stress of money and bills while they are dealing with this. I wish I was a millionaire so I could help more but im not. So I'm asking you all to help and mabey we can take the worry away from them so they can focus on the hard time ahead. Thankyou xx
