My son Albie-junior has had his foot amputated due to a condition called fibula hemimelia. Which means he had no fibula in his left leg, a shortened tibia and just 3 toes. We made the decision and with doctors recommendations to have his foot amputated. In the future it is uncertain that he may need more operations to have more of his leg amputated, and with people wanting and giving him money and presents, I have decided to open a fund for Albie. I will be running marathons this year to raise money, to be divided between Alder-Hey children’s hospital for how amazing they are and other children who aren’t as fortunate as others, and for Albie-juniors future needs.
I decided to run marathons because I want to show my son that he can achieve anything he puts his mind to, he has inspired me to push my self and to better my self, so In return my friend Andy redmond and I will be running a half/full marathons, and in September we will be running the 100mile Snowdonia marathon together in aid of Albie and Alder-Hey
