17 Dogs Found Dead At Green Acre Dog Boarding, Gilbert AZ
Our beloved Remington is one of the dogs confirmed dead in this horrific nightmare. Our other beautiful dog Valor is still missing. The dogs were found piled in a shed on the property on the afternoon of June 21, 2014, already decomposing, yet we were notified in a phone call from the facility's owner that our dogs had "escaped" earlier that morning, and were nowhere to be found.
They were lying then, and they are lying now. The officials have stated that this appears to be a "tragic accident." However, due to the inconsistancies I have mentioned, as well as numerous others, they have also said that their investigation is ongoing.
We have Remington's remains, and we wish to have our vet perform a procedure known as a necropsy on him before we have him creamated, so that we can know the true cause of his death. We will be pressing very hard for animal abuse and neglect charges to be filed against the owners of his deathtrap, and we feel that this will be both helpful and critical toward that end.
We want justice. No just for our dog, but for all the dogs killed by this facility's shameful neglect. We all trusted them with our beloved family members' safety, and that trust was repaid by their deaths, and our grief.
The procedure is costly, and if you could find it in your hearts to make a donation, no matter how small, it would be very much appreciated by our family.The necropsy will cost $1000.00, the cremation $200.00, and we are including an additional $100.00 in the funding total to cover fees, taxes, and any other incidental expense that might arise regarding this sad procedure.
We will let you know the name and business address of the vet who will be performing the procedure should you prefer to donate directly to them.
