Alisal Trojan Football Needs Your Help

Donation protected
Hi Everyone, As some of you know, I’ll be coaching at Alisal high school this year. I’ve been coaching football, basketball, and tennis since I began in 1996. Although, I’ve coached different sports, football has been the bulk of my coaching experience, and what I truly love to do. This fall, I get another opportunity to coach with my good friend Jimmy as his Defensive Coordinator. We coach at a school that is predominately Hispanic and many of the students’ parents work long hard hours in the Agriculture industry to provide what they can for their student-athletes to be successful on the playing field, and more importantly in the classroom. The area is underprivileged in many ways. Many times some students don’t participate due to the costs associated with sports. We are starting our fundraising for the Alisal Trojans to provide funds for football equipment, uniforms for players and coaches, and for doing football camps. We are the teachers, mentors, and coaches of these young student-athletes, not only teaching them about the game, but about life, and guiding them down the right path of life. I’ve been paying it forward for many years now by helping others through donations, filling out paperwork, writing for others, advice to help their businesses, and anything I can do that makes someone else’s life better. I do this mainly pro bono, because it’s more about helping others than to make a buck in my mind. I do ask for the occasional lunch or dinner as payment at times. It doesn’t matter how much you give, but that you give. You many think, “How can $5 or a $1 dollars make a difference?” It does, because there is power in numbers. I have 173 friends on Facebook, imagine if every one of them gave just $50 bucks; that’s $8,650, only $1,350 from my goal. We are not looking or a hand-out, but rather a hand-up. Everyone at some point in their lives needed help from someone to get where they are. We’ve all been there. All I am asking is that you all remember those times, and the people that helped out in your time of need, and provide that same opportunity to some great student-athletes by returning the generosity.  I am doing this on my own to surprise the players, and coaches.  I thank you in advance for your consideration, and generous donations.  Even if you don't donate, please share this link with others, because maybe you're not in a position to help out, but maybe, just maybe they are.
