AFRICA OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS- ZIM LADIES HOCKEY TEAM

The Zimbabwean Ladies Hockey Team are heading to the
Africa Olympic qualifiers in Cape Town in August 2019.
They won a Bronze medal in December at the World Series Open Tournament held in Bulawayo. This was the first major international tournament held in the country in 15 years. Which finally gave them a world ranking of 66
They are a young enthusiastic team who have given their all to be in the team, often training and then having to do a full day of work.
England based Coach Gus McVey and his two Zimbabwean based assistant coaches, have been pushing the players hard and they have been in training for the past 2 months with a squad camp held over the Easter break.
As always funds are hard to come by in Zimbabwe and are needed to pay for training facilities, accommodation, Transport and in the Ladies case a new Goalkeeping kit and training shirts.
All the donations will go towards the teams Road to Tokyo 2020 campaign. We are hoping to have everything in place by the 1st July 2019. The final squad is still to be announced.
