LET'S MAKE A CHANGE!
Escola Estudual Isabel Gondim is the second oldest school in Natal, Brazil which has been fighting to keep providing an education and hope to many children, even after being closed once. The school is located in a very needy community and the state goverment has focused on prohibiting financial support and refuses to send public educators who are available to teach. Regardless of many obstacles, the principal continues to find support from companies and people that want to give these students the opportunity to create a brighter future.
The school is currently in the process of re-establishment and the resources are very limited. The main needs range from food for lunches, school materials and books for class and toiletries and cleaning products for the restrooms that are in bad conditions. Lastly, construction materials to fix their courtyard and provide physical education classes.
We have traveled to Brazil from different countries as part of a volunteer exchange project because we believe we can be the change for the future of these children and so can you!

Como a segunda escola mais antiga na nossa cidade, ela tem um importante papel na educação de nossos jovens e apesar de todas as dificuldades que passa a escola luta para se manter de pé apesar do pouco (ou quase nenhum) repasse de verba do nosso governo.
