AADTC new dog training building

Donation protected
The Ann Arbor Dog Training Club (AADTC) is one of the largest dog clubs and training facilities in Southeastern Michigan. We have over 170 members who partake in club activities. AADTC was formed 50 years ago in 1967 as an educational not for-profit club to provide a wide range of training disciplines for dogs of all ages. We currently have four sessions of classes that run year round. Our classes include puppy socialization, agility, rally, obedience (household and competitive) and nosework. In addition to our classes we offer workshops and instruction for Canine Good Citizen tests, conformation, carting, tracking, flyball, herding and health education. Our classes offered have levels ranging from beginner to advanced. As you can see we offer a large variety of disciplines and our current building is hindering our ability to grow and support the interests within the canine community. The reality is we need more space and a facility that is conducive to the growing demand for a state of the art facility in this region.

In 1985 AADTC purchased the 6 acre site where we currently are. The building we use came with this property. This building is old and is showing its years. With its age we are starting to see problems with the roof, lack of functionality and structural issues. We can untimely fix these problems with a large budget, but it does not address the need for more space, better design and a facility that is built with dog sports in mind.

We want to build a state of the art facility to house our amazing training classes, be a safe and inviting space to have trials and matches and provide the canine community a place to host their events. The new facility will include a 100 by 120 foot clear span building. This will be ideal for canine events of all types (obedience trials, specialties, agility trials, flyball, conformation and rally matches and trials, clinics, workshops, training classes and much more). In addition, the Ann Arbor Dog Training Club facility will have a 60x80 foot climate controlled crating area. We also have a fantastic grass outdoor agility field for trials and practice. We need your help to make our dream a reality!

Your donation of any amount is greatly appreciated. Help us build this for you and your canine partner! Let's build the future together!

The new facility will be a space to learn, grow and foster relationships with both humans and canines alike!
