Hi, my name is Rick, I currently study at University of Bath. That's enough about me, because I'm not doing it for myself.
My friend, Matt, goes to the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. He applied for every financial support, but even with that, he barely makes his ends meet. You may think - why does he deserve the funding then?
I have made a secret campaign for him in the past, which failed. I was extremely disappointed with myself. Someone who did so much to me as a friend got no payback from me. Someone who has always been there for me when I was down, someone who is so passionate about what they're doing - architecture & civil engineering. He knew right away that he wanted to do that.
To be honest, I don't want him to know that I'm doing it for him. He told me that he doesn't like receiving stuff or gifts - he'd much rather give it to others. But he doesn't have much. That is why I really want to surprise him with a bonus.
The deadline is October 18th, which is approaching really fast. As a friend, I do want to surprise him in the best way possible.
How thankful would I be? It'd mean the world to me to get to support a friend of mine. I do want my friend to finally get a break from worrying about his finances for as long as possible.
