Feed Hungry Haitian Kids
Tax deductible
Zions Children of Haiti has been committed since 2009 to educate the children in Haiti. Close to 80% of Haitian children don't attend school due to severe poverty and most children only eat a meal a couple times a week which isn't always complete with all the proper nutrients. These Haitian children are in survival mode and cannot function properly to succeed in life and school. We believe it is essential to the academic success of children to be well-nourished. Zion's Children of Haiti has initiated a “Hot-Plate” program that began in 2012, where we provide a hot, well-balanced meal to children at least twice a week to the children attending school supported by Zions Children of Haiti. These meals may be the only opportunity during the week that the children get to eat a hearty meal, with meat! This program is so important to Haitian children trying to succeed in gaining an education. We are looking for ways and opportunities to expand services and to continue this program for years to come. A single meal for a child is less than than $3. The total cost to feed this group of Haitian children for a year is $13,000. Please help us achieve our goal in nurturing the bodies of these children so they can continue to grow and progress into a brighter academic and economic future.
