Washington Alliance of Black School Educators

Pam Bridges, President of the Washington Alliance of Black School Educators (WABSE), believes "it takes a village to close the educational opportunity gap". Awarding scholarships increases the likelihood that deserving African-American students will have an opportunity to apply for college after graduating from high school. Applying for college will increase the likelihood for college admission which is the first step towards earning a college degree.
