VFW Mounted Color Guard Support

Redmond, Oregon VFW Post 4108 has started a Mounted Color Guard and we are looking for some financial support to get off the ground and run. Even though we currently only have a few members we are passionate about Veterans and our community. We also want to share our passion with Central Oregon and beyond. Our first flag event is planned to be the Sisters Rodeo Parade with other parades to follow.
VFW mounted color guards, strive to promote four things: VFW membership, veterans, patriotism and the American Flag.
As we are starting from scratch and are former military members we need uniforms... Chaps, hats, shirts, flags, flag boots, saddle blankets, patches and such. Monies raised will also help with transportation and entry fees (as needed), as we want to be the "Pride of Central Oregon," proclaims Chairman Peggy Sweet. The first couple years I imagine we'll mostly stay in the Central Oregon area, but as we grow and become well known we'd like to travel throughout Oregon to share our passion for our Troops and Veterans and get more people involved in their communities.
