THE FILM

Tipp City Ohio is a raw portrait of a small town community in southwestern rural Ohio. This dramatic feature film is centered on two middle age women and their respective friends and families, with both women experiencing the incarceration of loved ones and the subsequent complications of their situations. This film is a study of people experiencing unexpected events, situations presented abruptly and out of their control well beyond their frame of life experience, and the decisions they make to cope and persevere. Tipp City Ohio is about hardship, fellowship, community and joy. Tipp City Ohio is about life.


THE PRODUCTION

Tipp City Ohio stars Debbie Doebereiner, lead actress from Steven Soderbergh’s 2005 critically acclaimed film Bubble. Tipp City Ohio is a film by director Keida Mascaro. It is his love letter to Ohio, where Keida has spent a portion of his childhood and adult life. An avid supporter of local movements focused in the culinary and manufacturing worlds, Keida is appropriating the same spirit to this film production. From locations to actors to storylines to funding, this feature will be an entirely local Ohio film production. Keida Mascaro Productions set up a GoFundMe page to raise the necessary capital to see this film to a commercial release in late 2015.
