Fire Recovery for Tennille Carr

As friends we are asking for support for Tennille in her time of need. On Sunday a fire tore through apartment building she and her father live in. Her fathers apartment escaped the worst with only smoke damage. That was not to be the case for Tennille, she lost everything including her best friend Pimpy the cat. She is currently homeless and only escaped with the clothes she was wearing. Her father is with her as he will not be able to return to his apartment for at least a couple of months. This is an especially hard time for the family, earlier this year they lost a brother and a son to an act of violence. Needless to say things have been difficult.
Tennille is a caring and giving individual and right now she needs us to care for her. Lets show Tennille we care by supporting her through this difficult time in her life.

Fire strikes downtown Minneapolis apartment building
Flames were visible coming from the building at the corner of Portland Avenue and E. 8th Street, with smoke billowing from the third, fourth and fifth floors when firefighters arrived about noon. By shortly after 1 p.m., it appeared under control.
Residents were gathered outside as firefighters worked in the building at 610 8th St. S., which was surrounded by at least a half-dozen firetrucks.
Simonson said residents were able to gather a few items Sunday evening, but would not be able to stay in building. She does not know when residents will be allowed back inside.
Angela Anderson, who lives on the first floor, said she caught a whiff of “electrical” smoke around noon.
“It’s scary. We don’t know what’s going on,” Anderson said. “We could use some prayers.”
Anderson said many people were crying and afraid because they didn’t have renters insurance and “live paycheck to paycheck.”
