I seriously cannot even express how...

I seriously cannot even express how thankful I am for everything everyone has been doing. It is absolutely amazing.

I've always known that my mother is loved by SO many people, but that is just becoming more and more obvious everyday.

I'm creating this page for my amazing mother, Jeanne. She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer that has metastasized to her liver on February 12, 2013 - very, very unexpectedly. We were told that it is inoperable, and very aggressive. However, giving up is not an option. We will fight this with her, every step of the way.

Since her diagnosis, she has suffered two strokes. The first one affected her vision, which has led her to be unable to read (which has always been one of her favorite things to do.) The second one affected her speech. She now has a hard time forming sentences and comprehending things, but we are hopeful that she will continue to show improvement.

Although I am not expecting to raise a large amount of money on this site, I figured it was worth a shot. The "goal amount" listed on the page really isn't important. There are just a number of things that we could use extra money for - from medical and household bills, to something as small as groceries. There are also a few Cancer Treatment Centers that we would love to get her to (MD Anderson, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Mayo Clinic, etc.), but with a couple of them not accepting her insurance, it is very costly out of pocket.

One place that I've done some research on that I think could be great is the Burzynski Clinic. They specialize in Pancreatic Cancer, and could potentially be great for my mom. However, it costs $15,000.

My mother is SO loved by so many people, and the news of her diagnosis has been heartbreaking. She is a very strong woman, and has the most amazing support system anyone could ever ask for.

Any help that can be given would be so greatly appreciated, by our entire family... and most importantly, by her.
