Michael's Recovery

What was supposed to be our first holiday together soon turned into our worst nightmare. Friday 21st September my boyfriend Michael was struck by a car while we were walking back to our hotel. He sustained life changing injuries, fractures to both sides of his skull, a bleed on the brain, fractured pelvis, a broken arm, leg and lower back. He spent 12 days in intensive care and he is incredibly lucky to be alive. Michael is making slow progress but has had to remain in a Turkish hospital until the swelling on his brain has reduced enough for air travel to be safe. The insurance company we used have declined our claim & refused to help in any way at present. Last week the hospital demanded the sum of £15,000 for Michaels treatment so far & family were told if the payment wasn't made he could no longer be cared for! This is already such a stressful situation for us all & now at the request of the hospital Michael has to have a family member with him 24/7 as he becomes so agitated when he wakes. Not having any English speaking medical staff at the hospital has made the situation even more difficult. Repatriation to the UK is going to cost around £30k, this will cover an air ambulance transfer to England and the medical staff to help him whilst being transferred. Michael is the most thoughtful, caring & funny person I have ever known, me & my children are missing him so much. There will be a long road to recovery for him but everything will be so much easier once he's back in the UK & getting the treatment he deserves. I would like to raise as much money as possible so I can take some of the financial burden off his family. Please help bring Michael home❤
