Stem Cell Transplant Pre and Post Care.

Thank you for stopping by my page. My name is Robert Postel and I am raising money for Stem Cell Transplant care before and after treatment. I have insurance but it does not cover help required for travel, outpatient care and home care upon return. I have what is called CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating  Polyneuropathy) it's an auto immune disorder related to Guillain-Barre' Syndrome that attacks the use of my arms and legs and it affects about 1 or 2 people per 100,000. I am now part of a Phase 2 trial that has included 17 people for CIDP and many others for Multiple Sclerosis with the same treatment at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago under care of Dr. Burt

Doctors and scientists will be following this study and me for the next 5 years and many others will benefit. Some background: This condition was triggered by a Cholesterol medication (Zocor) which was suggested to me after going in for a routine physical at Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara. After being told to to "Expect" muscle cramps (I felt them) I went surfing after feeling weak I developed a  Statin Induced Myopathy (muscle damage injury) triggering in my body a case of Guillain-Barre leading then to CIDP (both autoimmune related issues) to date they say there is no cure but thanks to Alice & Sophie at www.alicedicroce.com she has given me hope and has been an awesome leader and resource. As a follow up Sansum Clinic and there insurer The Doctors Company told me it was my fault for listening to there doctor and refused to help in the least bit. They of course would not put this in writing as it is the low road for them all the way. For this reason I am tagging this with the Sansum Clinic name as I will raise the funds on there bad reputation and we are moving up the ranks.
