Surgery for Sophie

I am starting this campaign on behalf of my daughter and son-in-law and their fur baby, Sophie. Sophie is a rescue dog from Austin Boxer Rescue. She was fostered by one of my best friends, Julie Willis who knew Abby was looking for a Boxer companion. She had an idea that Gwyneth, now Sophie might be a perfect match for Abby and boy was she RIGHT! The two have been inseparable for the last 2 and 1/2 years. For the last year Sophie's health has presented many challenges. The kids have taken her to numerous specialists in Austin and Houston literally depleting their savings to get to the bottom of her mysterious and life altering illness. What started out as a diagnosis for boxer cardiomyopathy has now shifted to neurological exams and visits to the internal medicine specialists. Finally today there was a break through. The doctors have discovered an operable nodule between her pancreas and spleen that they assume to be Insulinoma (cancerous tumor in her pancreas). The care up til today has numbered in the thousands and this surgery pre-tests, and post operative care is estimated at 10 thousand dollars. The kids need our help. All of us giving just a little will help save Sophie's life without completely financially draining Abby and Nolan. They have already done more than most pet owners would do and have risked their jobs taking off so many days for Sophie's needs.
