Sherry's Foundation

My goal is to start Sherry's Foundation, a NON-PROFIT, Christian based organization design with the goal to help defer or pay the funeral cost of people lost due to violence.
My sister, Sherry Mansur, was picked up hitchhiking and then raped and murdered. As our family worried for months about her, we finally got "the call" She had been found in a ditch by an elderly couple picking up cans. Our family was devastated at the loss of our daughter/sister. NO family EVER prepares for the death of a child much less by murder. The cost of her funeral was just UNBELIEVABLE and it was hard on us all and thru the help of other family members and donations, we were able to give Sherry a proper burial.
Sherry's Foundation is looking to ease some of the burdens from the family's who lose one to violence. Not only will we help to pay funeral cost, we will also try to convince our leaders thru the state and federal governments to push for stricter or harsher sentences of violent offenders.
