UPDATE: Fred and I just...
UPDATE: Fred and I just returned from the vet. Long day! 10am-7pm Fred was in there getting an ultrasound, bile fluid testing, and urine analysis. After this testing, OSU has determined that the diagnosis of Liver Shunts was incorrect. Good news.
Bad news is that they have no idea what is causing the seizures or muscle atrophy. They have determined that whatever the condition may be, it is not immediately life threatening. We have decided to wait until we can save up some money and get a good pet insurance policy in place, before we will continue doing the central nervous system testing that will be necessary to determine his condition.
To all who donated: I am eternally grateful. The testing today totaled about the amount raised (around $600 worth of testing). If anyone would like a refund I am still able to issue those through PayPal. Please contact me if you would like a refund.
Thank you so much for your support, it is lovely to see how many friends Fred and I have.
