The Sassers Serve Costa Rica!

After much prayer & affirmation, we are moving to Costa Rica this October for an estimated 9-10 months!!! We will be partnering with a few affiliated ministries in the San Jose area, while also serving as 'house-parents' for a group of students from the United States. We are EXPECTANT for God to blow our minds with His loving plans!
Through Global Year (www.GlobalYear.org), we will be serving alongside our dear friends, the Condreys (http://TheCondreys.com), who moved to Costa Rica in August 2013. Open House Church, a strategic partner of North Point Community Church in Atlanta, will become our homebase in Costa Rica where we will serve, lead & build community. You can learn more about Open House Church at www.OpenHouse.cr ! In additon, we plan to serve at the Hope Center, which feeds & invests in hundreds of impoverished children. We had the privilege of serving these children this past February/March on an 11-day trip to the area & we can't wait to be back! We will be living outside of San Jose in Cuidad Colón, in the same area as our friends Seth & Jessica Condrey & their 3 amazing kids.
Through Global Year, we will both be studying Spanish with a tutor, as we plan to lead worship at Open House Church in both Spanish & English. My (Jordan) minor in Spanish & mission trips to Mexico over the years have taught me much of the language! Alex has studied Spanish & is presently continuing to dive into the language! We are excited to continue writing & recording music together during our time in Costa Rica, as God has opened doors for us to do so. God has given us vision for all of this!
Above all else, your faithful prayers are literally treasure to us. We could not take this leap of faith without the loving support & encouragement that surrounds us. We ask that you would consider supporting us financially, as we will use all of the funds raised for our moving & living expenses for the entire 9-10 month mission, including either purchasing a used vehicle there or using a car transport service to bring our own. We are exponentially grateful in advance for all of your generosity!!! Any amount is a huge blessing to us! In the midst of being house-parents, serving at Open House Church, & loving on the children at the Hope Center, we are ecstatic to pour into the people of Costa Rica.
