Help Ruby fight for her life

Let me first start by saying, this was a difficult decision to ask for a handout. It is not in my nature. I know there may be people that need help more. I also know that some people will think "it's just a dog". But she's not to us. She is a part of our family. She is our big fur baby and we have to try to save her.
In October, our 4 year old German Shepherd, Ruby began yelping at night when trying to change position when lying down. We monitored her for a few days, thinking it was a pulled muscle. When it didn't get better we brought her to our vet. It took several vet visits and the pain increasing to get an inital diagnosis through Xray of a herniated disc. After following the treatment plan her condition worsened and we were referred to a nuerologist. More xrays and new blood work confirmed a NEW diagnosis of aspergillious. This is a rare and painful fungal disc disease that is difficult to treat. She began anti-fungal medication and is on other medications to manage the pain. The treatment takes 1-2 weeks to begin working. If this mediciation doesn't help there is a second one we would like to try. The medication along with the blood work and xrays to monitor progress are costly and require 6 months or longer to clear the infection. As her owners we have to TRY to help her fight this. At very least we need to keep her comfortable until she can't fight the infection any longer.
