Rocky Beaty, son of Rob and Eddi Beaty, baby brother to Chelsi and Janaye. Grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend of many, coach, tutor, teacher, mentor! Rocky truly is adored by all, (ok most, lol) he meets.
Rock is passionate about life in every area! He loves travelling, playing the drums, gymnastics (trampoline in particular) snow skiing, hiking, wake boarding, padle boarding, cooking, playing board games and the list goes on. He's brilliant as well as athletically inclined as he's a math/physics major with the desire to get into AI. (Artificial Intelligence)
Rocky had an accident while doing gymnastics on Monday, May 28th causing a severe spinal cord injury and fracturing his C6 and C7. He was flown to Renown where he underwent a 4+ hour surgery, removing bulging discs, fusing his vertebrae, and placing 2 rods on the front and back of his spine.
We have chosen as a family to seek rehabilitation for Rocky at Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado.
While we do have great insurance which we are thankful for, the expense is proving to be insurmountable. We were advised by others in the same situation to set up a go fund me so others can help offset the rising costs.
His flight alone to transfer him via medical flight will be upwards of $20,000.
