QV RoboTigers Championship Trip

Donation protected
Queens Vocational & Technical High School's FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 1796 earned 1st place at the US FIRST Robotics NYC Regional Competition at the Jacob Javits Center (March 13-March 15)!

Our 2015 Robot, Based-God Trap Love, ready to start the match.

As the only NYC Career and Technical Education (CTE) school earning this place, comprised of dedicated former & current students as well as mentors, we are looking for donations to fund our trip to St. Louis, Missouri to compete at the FIRST Robotics World Championships (April 22-April 25).  There, we will compete with and against 599 of the best robots in the world.

Please help us fund our journey to the 2015 FIRST Championship to participate and hopefully earn a win!

The drivers and some of their fellow members.

The team is an after-school program at a Title-I New York City Public School, Queens Vocational and Technical High School. This Career and Tech Ed school teaches students technical trade skills necessary to be successful in their future careers and post secondary endeavors.

The team is comprised of 28 multi-cultural students from all types of backgrounds who come together every year and spend 6 weeks building a robot together. Since past January, the students have logged more than 3,200 hours of work on the robot and preparing for the competitons.

Without our sponsors and without our mentors of the RoboTigers, we wouldn't have made it this far. Thank you sponsors! And thank you mentors!
