"Ralph Whitley...Carolina Beach..."

Donation protected
Ralph C. Whitley built a lasting legacy through his love of humanity and youthful spirit.  Remembered as a man of impeccable character, he dedicated his life as a devoted family man and always gave to his community and loved ones. His wife Doris Whitley, stood by his side and built community and a family with him.  He was cherished as Dad to Robin W. Guy, Whit Whitley and daughter-in-law Marie Whitley. He was known as Paw-Paw to his grandchildren: Jana Guy and Julie Ann Guy, Hylee and Tosh Whitley, and great granddaughter Leena Chaouki.  Many others in the community shared in this affection as adopted family members to this wonderful man.

He always had the natural ability to recognize someone in need and would have the tenacity to ensure a positive outcome for them.  Ralph constantly uplifted and supported those around him.  He believed in fairness for all and taught people the true meaning of human kindness.  Those who have had the pleasure of knowing Ralph understand that he was a cornerstone of our community.

Ralph served the Carolina Beach community alongside his wife, Doris Whitley for many decades as a philanthropist and activist building community through medical rescue, environmental, education and parks & recreation.  We continue to benefit from his work today.   A few notable contributions while serving 8 years on the Carolina Beach Town Council,
was the community acquiring the library, medical center, Mike Chapel Park and rescue squad.  On his personal time he would provide food for the less fortunate, and ensure homes for orphaned children.  His philanthropy on Carolina Beach dates as far back as catering the needs of the Carolina Beach Hermit.  He moved to Carolina Beach to provide a nice life for his family.

Ralph Whitley was truly a man of his word, a real salt of the earth guy.  He would give anything he had for others.  After a selfless life of service, we are offering an opportunity for others to support and assist his beloved wife through this transition.  Funds donated will be used to offset the burden of excessive medical cost.

We will be grateful to accept your philanthropic support, if you should choose.  Ralph and Doris mean the world to so many of us and we are honored to have the opportunity to reciprocate the kindness.   Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
