We are Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need, celebrating our 15th year!!
We are a grass-roots, non-profit organization providing dignity, emergency food and outreach services to thousands of at-risk neighbors in Rhode Island.
In 2015 alone, we provided 455,104 meals. The need continues to grow.
We also provide:
Emergency Food Assistance Program- Offered weekly, clients are able to shop for free fresh and packaged food items, choosing what they need to eat, thus eliminating waste and promoting dignity.
Community Food/Rescue Program- This weekly program provides free supplemental food items to all people in our community, rescued from local Walmart and BJ'S stores
Additional Client Outreach Services include:
Clothing
Furniture
SNAP Outreach
Our Holiday Programs offer free Thanksgiving and Christmas food items as well as Santa's Workshop. In 2015, 270 Children received gifts through Community Donations.
We are the largest emergency food center with the most food to the most people. In order to keep growing, we rely on YOU!
We ask that you would consider making a donation, big or small. Your contribution matters so much to so many! All donations are tax exempt.
Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need (RI CAN) is fortunate to have great community support, and we thank our tireless volunteers, generous donors and selfless collaborators for providing our at-risk neighbors a better tomorrow!
