One last push to save Bexhill Wildlife Rescue

UPDATE FOR THE NEW YEAR!! 2019 means a renewed hope for our wildlife.
The rescue is now secured for the future. It has finally been bought outright with the incredible funds raised from our campaign, and will soon be run co-operatively. Thank you to everyone involved in this achievement!
We will soon be undertaking more fundraising to help clear the generous loan we received from Linda at the 11th hour, but for now, to all the sharers, donators, animal lovers and to those who want to see a change in how we view animals - a huge THANK YOU!

Bexhill & Hastings Wildlife Rescue & Sanctuary need your help one last time to secure their premises for good.
Through an amazing fundraising drive this autumn, the Rescue has been able to raise almost all of their target. It was a very big ask, but people came together in support of animals in a way that has humbled us all. A 'thank you' to everyone who has brought the Rescue this far, just does not seem enough. The co-owner of the property has been made an offer of £190,000 which has been accepted through their solicitor and will be payable in mid-January.
The Rescue now needs £6,500 in order to settle completely with the co-owner of the property and to sign it over into a cooperative trust. It can then continue into the future as a place that is open 24/7, 365 days a year to provide shelter, rehabilitation and emergency care for animals in, around, and even beyond the Sussex borders. It remains a place that champions animal liberation in a way that very few other rescues do. Animals value their own lives as much as we do and, as a vegan-run rescue, Bexhill Wildlife Rescue really does practice what it preaches.
