OCHS 2013 Graduation Party

On behalf of the Oregon City High School Senior Class of 2013 and the Grad Party Committee, we are faced with the challenge of raising nearly $52,000 to support a drug and alcohol free graduation party.

This party is held immediately following graduation at a “top-secret” location. The event is guaranteed to be a night that these students will remember forever!

With a class of 520 students, the average cost to attend the “All Night Party” is $80-$100 per student. It is our goal to make sure that every student has the opportunity to attend with little to no out-of-pocket cost. Our students have worked hard over the last 12-years of school and it is important for each of them to celebrate their individual accomplishments in a safe and secure environment.

National statistics indicate that more teenage alcohol-related accidents and fatalities occur on high school graduation night than any other time of the year. We want parents to have the peace of mind of knowing their grad is in a safe place and having “the time of their lives” without risking their lives. By providing a safe drug and alcohol free party, we can greatly reduce the risk of harm to the graduates, and the community at large – on a night when that risk is unusually high.

Donations made without reference to a particular student will be applied to the general fund to sponsor a grad in financial need.
